Conference Center hosts Little Lending Library

Conference Center staff members Lisa Edwards, Susan Ault and Chris Pugsley share a passion for reading. The three have have started to convert to being e-readers and decided they wanted to pass along their respective collections of books.

“Both of us have seen the cute little Lending Libraries that pop up in neighborhoods.  From there the idea was hatched.” said Pugsley.  The book cart came from the districts Warehouse surplus and is in the lobby of the Conference Center at the district’s Administrative Service Center.

“We know that there are many readers who still prefer bound books.  We hope that staff and members of the community that use the Conference Center will pause and take advantage of our Lending Library.”  Take a book or leave books you are done with.

“Books are no more threatened by …Kindle… than stairs by elevators” - Stephen Fry
