for presenters

We are so excited that you are facilitating at OneByOne 2018!

In Evergreen, we are intentionally building a strong understanding of learning design with the essentials of personalized learning at the core: ensuring literacy integration into core academic subjects - reading, mathematics, writing, science, arts, and social sciences - with the goal of maximizing learning for all students.

As you prepare for OneBOne, please use the EPS Staff Developer Guide to ensure that your sessions connect to best practices in teaching and learning and the philosophies of Evergreen Public Schools.

OneByOne will begin each day at Evergreen High School with a continental breakfast and the Keynote speaker. Individual session will take place at Evergreen High School and neighboring Cascade Middle School

here are some things you will want to know about us

We are in the midst of a district transformation

that focuses on equity, access, and personalized learning through LIFT (Linking Individual Futures to Today).

We use the Essentials of Personalized Learning

as we design engaging learning for our staff and students.

Workshop is the system and structure we use

to ensure rich learning environments where reading, writing and thinking are key ingredients every day; we believe that the ones doing the reading, writing, talking, and thinking are the ones doing the learning.

Workshop elements to guide the design of your session:

◌ Share the intended outcomes and learning goals with your participants

◌ Ensure your workshop is learner centered, and that participants have time to discuss, think, and create (see the Essentials of Personalized Learning).

◌ Include reflection and next step planning.

Learning Design Reflection Questions for OnebyOne Professional Developers:

◌ How does your workshop model effective teaching strategies?

◌ Which of the Essentials of Personalized Learning have you intentionally built into the design of your workshop?

◌ How does your workshop support equity and access?

◌ Does your workshop include culturally relevant content?

your scheduled sessions

Please upload your presentation materials (slides, powerpoint, etc.) onto Sched so that attendees can access them. Be sure that your materials are open so that all attendees may view them.

Here are some helpful guides for navigating Sched:

 ◌ Editing your speaker profile

 ◌ Uploading presentations and files

Although we have made every effort to ensure accuracy, sometimes a mistake slips through. Please double-check that your workshop title, description and times are entered correctly into Sched. As the conference date approaches, we will add the specific room locations to the sessions.

Please let us know if you have any specific needs for your workshop that we can help facilitate.
