This course helps students prepare to take the official GED Exam at Clark College. Students will work independently and with the Certificated Teacher of Record/EED Instructor, for a combined minimum of 30 hrs per week. As a result of this cite-based course, students will be able to show passing scores (145/200 or 72.5%) on the individual GED sub-tests.
In addition, students will be able to earn high school credit by demonstrating proficiency in the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) that align with the knowledge and abilities required to show mastery of the GED Exam.
Finally, students will be able to demonstrate job-seeking and career readiness skills including, but not limited to, résumé writing, cover letter writing, and interpersonal interview competency taught in an interview workshop.
