Cultural Heritage Calendar
Evergreen Public Schools is rich in cultural diversity, with a student community that reflects a broad spectrum of languages, traditions, and beliefs. Evergreen Public Schools is committed to affirming each student’s unique experiences while fostering learning environments free from racism, discrimination, trauma, and bias. In line with our commitment to becoming an anti-racist school district, we aim to provide a culturally relevant, responsive, and inclusive environment for all students, especially those historically underserved, such as LGBTQ+ students and students of color.
The EPS cultural heritage month resources serve as a resource for staff, students, and families to gain insight into the diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds within our district. Our students play a critical role in shaping how cultural and ethnic heritage celebrations are recognized in our schools. Through student leadership and voice, we ensure that the decisions made reflect the values and experiences of our student body and that these events foster inclusivity, belonging, and uphold dignity for all. It is a living document that will be revised throughout the school year based on feedback from students, families, and staff members.
