Choice Transfers
Residents of other Washington School Districts
Choice Transfers (out-of-district boundary exceptions) are required for any student who wants to attend a school in our district, but lives outside of our district’s boundary. Requests need to be submitted to your resident school district first, and they will notify us of your request. You can find your resident school district by entering your address here.
Resident District Contact Information
Choice Transfers are valid for one year only. A new request needs to be made every year and Choice Transfer Requests for next school year can be submitted no earlier than May 1. Check your resident district’s website for exact dates.
Decisions will be communicated via email, please check your spam folder. Please note that decisions on boundary exceptions for next school year may not be made until late August.
Participation in sports is not a valid reason for a boundary exception. The WIAA does not permit student transfers if the purpose for the request is to play sports at a non-resident school.
The district does not provide transportation for students on boundary exceptions.
